A BAE apprentice was hospitalised after suffering an injury to his arm at work.
The incident happened at BAE Systems Submarines Academy for Skills & Knowledge (SASK) - a training facility that helps BAE Systems employees develop the skills needed to design, build, and deliver submarines to the Royal Navy.
The 89,340 sq.ft academy provides training for nearly 800 apprentices and has classrooms, workshops, a virtual reality suite and scale-model submarine units.

The North West Air Ambulance confirmed it attended an incident in Barrow on Wednesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for BAE Systems Submarines Academy said: "We can confirm there was a medical incident in the BAE Systems Submarines Academy for Skills & Knowledge (SASK) yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 20 November 2024).
"Emergency services attended, including Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance. One employee has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment."
