THE beauty of Furness has been captured by a Barrow-born artist with his latest calendar.
John Duffin's 2025 calendar features paintings of iconic landscapes in the area drawn in the former shipyard worker's signature style.
This year's calendar features views of Barrow, Walney, Piel Island, Dalton and Ulverston.
Renderings of the Barrow skyline, the Roa Island lifeboat station and Furness Abbey are among the paintings included in the calendar.
A moody Duke Street and Hoad Hill at sunset are other iconic Furness scenes captured by the artist's paintbrush.
Mr Duffin, a former draughtsman and naval architect, said his calendars were popular with Furness ex-pats living all over the world.
"This is the 17th year the calendar has been published and it sells out each year, many copies being sent to Cumbrians living in other parts of the UK or abroad - it brings part of Cumbria close to them," he said.
"I take a great deal of care choosing the images for the calendar and this year the calendar features paintings of Roa Island, Furness Abbey, Walney Lighthouse, Piel Island, Duke Street and Roanhead.
"I have tried to make a high quality product that captures the essence of the area, it's great buildings, historic monuments, wonderful sea views and dramatic skies.
"The calendar is unique in being an artist's vision of his hometown and local area. I try and capture the arc of the year and choose paintings showing the seasons and reflecting places that I associate with each month.
"I hope that people buy it early to avoid disappointment."
The artist will be signing calendars at Bentley's Bedding at Barrow Market on December 6 between 12.30pm and 3pm and at Heaths in Dalton Road on December 7 from 10pm to 12pm.
The calendar can be purchased in Barrow at Home Images, Heaths, Lakes Parade Stores, Dapper Delights and The Forum, in Ulverston at TP Framing and The Coro and in Dalton at Beddalls Newsagents.
