A Christmas appeal has been launched to help families who are struggling financially in Millom.
Organised by Julie Craghill, the money raised will go towards festive food hampers that will be distributed by Family Action at Millom Children's Centre.
Julie revealed last week that she was over halfway to her original £500 goal, with there still being time to help out.
She said: "There are many families who need some extra support - cost of living, increase in food prices, increase in utility bills and other family circumstances mean that many families will struggle this Christmas.
"Please join us and give what you can, no matter the amount and help make Christmas magical for local families in need."
Any funds raised over what is needed for the hampers will be used to buy additional gifts for the children in those families.
