A MAN made nearly 100 unwanted phone calls and text messages to a woman in Barrow, court records show.
Dean Fawcett, of Cross Street, Barrow, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to harassment without violence when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on November 14.
The court charges show the 44-year-old made 88 unwanted phone calls and text messages to the complainant in the case between November 11 and November 12 this year.
Magistrates sentenced Fawcett to a 12-month community order with one requirement of completing 40 hours unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85.
