Barrow's antisocial behaviour and serious violence areas have been identified and targeted with extra patrols.
The 'hotspots' have been identified as Barrow town centre, Barrow Island, Hindpool and Salthouse.
Operation Enhance is Cumbria Police's new county-wide crackdown on anti-social behaviour (ASB) and serious violence, alongside partners.

Cumbria’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner David Allen secured an additional £1m of extra funding from the Government’s Hotspot Response Fund to target anti-social behaviour (ASB) and serious violence in hotspot areas across the county.
Other areas targeted include Carlisle, Workington, Whitehaven, Kendal, Penrith, Maryport, Cleator Moor, Ulverston and Bowness-on-Windermere.
The high visibility patrols also targets those who commit serious violence in these areas – including arson, robbery and violence including sexual assaults - to ensure the safety of our communities.
Cumbria police say that, so far, Operation Enhance has coincided with a significant reduction in antisocial behaviour across the hotspot areas.
Anyone who sees police officers on patrol are urged to speak to them about any concerns that you may have.
