An annual fundraiser for homeless people living across Furness has reached a £1,000 milestone.
Organisers of the Forty Winks 4 Furness revealed at the weekend that they had gone past their first major target, with an ultimate goal of £10,000 still in sight.
The annual event sees people sleep at Barrow AFC's SO Legal Stadium, which will take place on Saturday, November 30.

The aim is to showcase the rough conditions that many people in the region have to endure on a daily basis, as well as raising money for the Furness Homeless Support Group charity.
Last year's event saw roughly 60 people get involved, with a total of £14,000 being donated to the FHSG.
