Author Eileen Jones is set to share her experiences of running in the Lake District, including her affection for Loughrigg, the focus of her latest book, Loughrigg: Tales of a Small Mountain.
Ms Jones, who played a key role in establishing parkruns at Fell Foot, Windermere, and Rothay Park in Ambleside, has also written two books on the parkrun phenomenon titled How parkrun changed our lives, and p is for parkrun, a Journey from A - Z.
Her stories span several decades, reflecting on her own modest successes, the runners who inspired her, and the benefits of trying parkrun.
Organised as part of the Armitt Museum's Running int' Fells series, the talk is scheduled for Friday, November 15.
