THE owner of a dangerously out-of-control dog that caused injury to a woman is due to be sentenced today.
Nathaniel Shaw, of Low White Cross, admitted his brown Mastiff Cross had injured a woman in Chester Street, Barrow, when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on August 22.
The incident occurred on March 29 this year.
The offence is charged under section 3 (1) and (4) of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1981.
On October 15, the case was adjourned at the request of Shaw’s solicitor to obtain a dangerous dog behavioural report.
The 20-year-old had been granted bail and is listed for sentence in court this morning.
