To make sure that everyone is entertained, Boomdang will be providing live music throughout the day.
The main event will come in the form of a procession from the statue at 4pm, leading to the lighting of Barrow BID's 'big surprise' at the bottom of Dalton Road.
The BID has already been getting in the Christmas spirit by organising a free tree giveaway for businesses in the area, with weekly festive competitions running until the big day itself.
