A MAN is to be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to child grooming and other child sex offences.
Dean Fawcett, of NFA, admitted he had engaged in sexual communications with a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on November 7.
The 44-year-old also admitted charges of attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, namely by providing indecent images of herself.
Court records show the offences took place in Barrow between October and November this year.
With his guilty pleas, Fawcett admitted he had committed the offences for the purpose of obtaining his own sexual gratification.
He was granted conditional bail by magistrates and will next appear at Preston Crown Court on December 19.
