A MAN has been jailed for defecating in a police cell.
Josh Webster, of Brown Street, jail admitted the offence under the Criminal Damage Act 1971 at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on November 6.
The 28-year-old also conceded to being in possession of cannabis and another charge of criminal damage whereby he recklessly damaged a property without lawful excuse.
Court records show the offences all took place in Barrow on June 20 this year.
Magistrates said the defendant had shown a ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’ and noted that the offences had been committed whilst the defendant was subject to a suspended sentence order.
They ordered for forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis and jailed Webster for one week.
He was also ordered to pay £250 in compensation.
