CLUBS, organisations and societies in Barrow have been invited to take part in a procession this weekend to remember those who served in the armed forces.
Barrow Town Council said they would be ‘honoured’ if members of the public joined the procession leaving the Town Hall promptly at 10:35 am for Remembrance Sunday.
The Council have asked people to gather no later than 10:20 am.
The procession is expected to arrive at the Cenotaph in time for ‘The Service of Remembrance’ at 11:00 am, which is expected to last for 30 minutes.
Following the service, the procession will terminate at the Royal British Legion Club on Holker Street.
The day is a national opportunity to remember the service and the sacrifice of those that defended the country’s freedoms in the armed forces.
