A historic steam train cutting through Barrow and south Cumbria will act as the perfect festive treat.
The Christmas White Rose will be running on Saturday, November 23 and will begin its journey from Barrow before making its way to York.
This will see it stop off at Dalton, Ulverston, Grange-over-Sands, Arnside, Carnforth, Lancaster, Preston, Wigan North Western, Warrington Bank Quay, and Manchester Victoria.

The train is steam hauled by one of Saphos Trains' 'immaculately restored' pool of engines including: the world famous LMS Royal Scot Class, No.46100 ‘Royal Scot’; West Country Class, No. 34046 ‘Braunton’; and Britannia Pacific Class, No 70000 ‘Britannia’.
The full-day excursion will see the train depart Barrow at 6am before eventually returning at 11.15pm.
