There is still time to make your vote count as local businesses wait to discover who will be named as the best curry house.

Last month, The Mail launched the new award - building on the success of other recent campaigns.

This saw readers nominate their favourite places when it comes to a bit of spice - with 10 finalists named from those results.

The finalists have been vying for votes from the public for nearly two weeks - and you can submit yours by picking up a copy of The Mail before Saturday, November 9.

Each print copy of The Mail comes with a voting form, which can then be sent in by Wednesday, November 13.

A series of special features has also been running alongside the competition, finding out more about each of the nominated businesses and the people who are putting the local area on the food map.

Now, all 10 businesses will be nervously waiting to discover which of them will be taking home the crown.

Could it come down to a battle of the new kids on the block? Both Mumbai Indian Cuisine in Askam and Top Chef of Dalton have received nominations within their first year of business.

Will Ulverston take the crown? Aroma Indian Dining, the Bengal Rose, and Naaz Indian Cuisine are all hoping to do their hometown proud.

Might a different cuisine set one competitor apart? Nicha's Thai Kitchen is competing against nine different Indian curry houses.

The Mail's 'Best Curry House 2024' series pt.2:

Could Millom fend off stern competition from Furness? Curry Spice will be hoping its 'gorgeous' food will fuel it to victory.

Or will Barrow decide the ultimate champion? Dhaba, Mithali and the Taj Mahal Restaurant have all become respected stalwarts in the local food scene.

You can still ensure that your voice is heard before time runs out. Get your copy of The Mail by November 9.
