Each of these fabulous felines are hoping to find a loving family.
Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once their cats are ready to find a new family, they can be advertised for adoption.
Meet the lovely felines currently looking for their forever homes…
JASMINE is a female, mingled tortoiseshell coloured cat, who is estimated to be around one year and three months old.
She is described as ‘very affectionate’ cat who loves human company and is looking for a quiet family home.
Jasmine would like to the chance to explore the great outdoors once she has settled into her new home.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said that Jasmine has shown that she does not enjoy having another cat’s company.
She would prefer a home without children but could potentially live with a cat-friendly dog in the home if introduced carefully.
AGATHA and WANDA have had a ‘very tough’ start in life and were abandoned at the shelter.
The girls are estimated to be around eight months old and were left with Animal Rescue Cumbria out of hours.
“Unfortunately, for this reason we don’t have any history on them,” the charity said.
Agatha is black with a white bib, while Wanda is a mix of tabby and white.
While they were initially ‘very reserved’, the girls have started to come out of their shells as they have settled and gotten to know the team better.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said: “They will need a quiet, understanding home, without young children while they settle and get to know you.”
The girls could potentially be rehomed individually, and would benefit from living with another, confident cat in the home.
TULA is a seven-year-old, female, Siamese feline.
“Once Tula gets to know you, she is affectionate and enjoys attention,” the charity said.
Tula has always been a housecat and is looking for a new owner who can give her time to settle in.
She would prefer a quiet home where there are no children, and she is the only pet.
ANCHOR and MR RAY are both tabby coloured, male cats, who are estimated to be around three years old.
They are looking to find a home together and need to find a patient, understanding owner who can help build up their confidence.
The boys are both described as ‘quite timid’, but the charity said they do enjoy having head tickles and a chin scratch!
They could potentially live with other cats in the home but would prefer a home without dogs and children.
Anchor and Mr Ray have previously been allowed outdoors but the charity said they will need to be kept inside for quite a while until their confidence is built up and they feel completely settled in their new home.
The charity also has a number of barn cats they are currently caring for.
Estimated to be between one and three years old, these outdoor cats are looking for a home in a barn or stable.
They would like to be able to spend their time exploring the countryside.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said: “In exchange for food and shelter they will keep your rodent population down as they will make great mousers.
“All cats have been chipped, neutered and blood tested.”
They can go in pairs or individually and are able to live with other cats and animals.
If you think you could offer any of these beautiful cats the forever home they deserve, please fill out an adoption enquiry form for Animal Rescue Cumbria.
Include as much information about yourself, your experience and your previous pets, as possible.
