A business in Ulverston has become the latest in the area to shape itself as a 'compassionate company'.
St Mary's Hospice revealed on Tuesday, November 5 that Furness Environmental Services had joined the scheme.
The compassionate company network commits local businesses to donating £35 a month for 35 months, as part of celebrations for the charity's 35th anniversary.

A spokesperson from the hospice said: "Their commitment means so much to us, helping to ensure that St Mary’s Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care and support to our community for another 35 years and beyond.
"Thank you, Furness Environmental Services, for standing by our side and believing in the power of hospice care."
