THESE are the roadworks affecting motorists in South Cumbria this week.
One is expected to cause delays of at least 30 minutes.
• A590, from 8pm October 14 to 4pm November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, Elliscales Roundabout to High and Low Newton Bypass, Lane one closures and traffic signals for wildflower cutting
• A590, from 7.30am November 4 to 6.30pm December 2, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A590 northbound and southbound, Lightburn Road, traffic signals and lane closure for gas mains replacement.
Two other roadworks will begin over the next two weeks:
• M6, from 7am November 11 to 5pm November 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound at junction 37. Lane closure and full closures for cattle grid repairs.
• A590, from 6.30pm November 12 to 5am November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound at Newby Bridge. There will be traffic Lights for Fibrus works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
