A restaurant in Millom has been nominated for a new award thanks to its 'first class' service.

Last month, The Mail began its search for the best curry house of 2024 - building on the success of other recent award campaigns.

This saw readers nominate their favourite places when it comes to a bit of spice - with 10 finalists named from those results.

The finalists have been vying for votes from the public for nearly a week now - and you can submit yours by picking up a copy of The Mail before Saturday, November 9.

Each print copy of The Mail comes with a voting form, which can then be sent in by Wednesday, November 13.

A series of special features has been running alongside the competition, finding out more about each of the nominated businesses and the people who are putting the local area on the food map.

The restaurant was previously run by Larry Mackie, who owned a number of businesses in the local area, before it was put up for sale in 2016.

Despite the change in management, Curry Spice has continued to serve up tasty versions of traditional dishes, all of which have kept residents coming back for more.

One person said: "We all had different curries and we all said the same thing - that our curries were delicious.

"The service was first class, so we would highly recommend."

Another customer commented: "The food was absolutely gorgeous, so much and so tasty.

"Service was excellent as well, couldn't fault a thing, and we can't wait to go back."

If you think that Curry Spice deserves to be named as the best curry house in the area, then make you sure you get your copy of The Mail before November 9.
