AN ARTIST from Barrow has reached the top 50 in the Artists and Illustrators British Art Prize - and now she is asking for your vote. 

Simone Sue has been shortlisted after submitting her graphite pencil drawing of Queen Elizabeth II beating thousands of entries to get her place in the final. 

She stands to win the People's Choice award if she can get enough people to vote for her drawing on the Artists and Illustrators website

"I would love it if people from my hometown could support me by voting," she said. Simone would receive a £1,000 Caran d'Ache voucher plus a standalone feature in the February 2025 issue of Artists and Illustrators, as well as the painting displayed at the exhibition at gallery@oxo in London from December 4-8.
