A fire station in south Cumbria used the spooky season to educate locals about the work they do.
Millom Fire Station hosted the open day on Thursday, October 31, combining live demonstrations with some typical Halloween celebrations.
This included children being able to try their hand at using some of the equipment, such as the fire hoses, and getting to take a seat inside the station's fire engines - which also got dressed up for the occasion.
A spokesperson from Millom Fire Station added: "We would like to thank everyone who attended our Halloween open night -we hope you all had a good time.
"Also a big thank you to anyone who donated decorations and to Tesco for their kind donation of sweets, which was much appreciated."
