A family-run takeaway in Barrow is feeling 'privileged' after the public gave it the chance of winning a new award.
Last month, The Mail began its search for the best curry house of 2024 - building on the success of other recent award campaigns.
This saw readers nominate their favourite places when it comes to a bit of spice - with 10 finalists named from those results.
The finalists have been vying for votes from the public for nearly a week now - and you can submit yours by picking up a copy of The Mail before Saturday, November 9.
Running alongside the contest will be a series of special features about each of the nominated businesses celebrating the people who are putting the local area on the food map.

We are in Barrow yet again where Mithali on Cavendish Street has been serving customers since it reopened its doors six years ago.
The takeaway was formerly an eat-in restaurant on Dalton Road before its initial closure in 2016 but siblings Fahsin Ahmed and Fahmida Shamim have been providing locals with their favourite dishes ever since.
Fahmida said: "It hasn't always been a smooth journey for us as a small business, which lots of people can resonate with.
"But it's a privilege to have people voting for us - it makes all that effort worthwhile."
The brother and sister duo have been running the takeaway, along with their Taj Mahal Restaurant, in honour of their parents - who were originally at the helm of Mithali for 25 years.
Fahsin added: "We're second generation caterers and, once mum and dad were forced into retirement, we felt it was only right that we kept the business alive in their honour."
Will Mithali be crowned as the 'Best Curry House 2024'? Get your copy of The Mail before November 9 to have your say.
