A music event in south Cumbria is hoping to take advantage of the large crowds for the Dickensian Festival this month.
The Ulverston International Music Festival has so far announced three performances as part of its autumn and spring series.
The first of these will take place on Saturday, November 23 at Ulverston Parish Church from 1pm, featuring 'one of the UK’s most exciting young ensembles' – the Astatine Trio.
The Astatines are rapidly gaining a reputation for their 'exciting and exuberant style, passion, and pinpoint technical accuracy'.
Accolades include first prizes at the Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Competition, the Virtuoso and Belcanto International Chamber Competition, and the Senior Intercollegiate Piano Trio Competition in 2022.
A spokesperson from the festival added: "Escape the hustle and bustle of the Dickensian Festival for an hour of chamber music from one of the UK’s most exciting young ensembles in a programme which includes Ravel’s scintillating Piano Trio, the pinnacle of writing for this genre in the Impressionist era."
