A MOTORIST who caught driving on the A590 despite being banned has been jailed.
Lee White admitted several driving offences after he was stopped by police in Ulverston on September 5.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard the 48-year-old was driving a Honda CRV on the day when he had previously been disqualified.
White also pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath to police and driving without insurance.
Magistrates said the defendant had shown disregard for previous court orders and posed a 'significant risk' to the public.
White, of Dale Bank in Barrow, was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison for the offences.
He was also banned from driving for 60 months and 70 days.
