Two local history books have been penned by a group of Ulverston residents.
The books, Stones That Speak and Stones Still Speaking, spotlight the lives of people who lived, worked, and died in Ulverston.
Kristen Negaard O'Brien, leader of the history group, said: "Our books are full of characters and incredible lives of the people who lived, worked and died in Ulverston who still have their lively stories to tell.
"Our group has uncovered more than 60 stories spanning over 400 years."
The books focus on individuals commemorated in Ulverston Parish Church, the retired Holy Trinity Church, and their churchyards.
A total of 63 people were selected, with stories and images from their lives in and around Ulverston.
The books are made up of more than 150 pages, featuring images, and are divided into chapters including Aristocracy, Pole Leapers, Trades and Professions, Tradesmen and Businessmen, Church Members and Matters, Heroes, Characters and Personalities, Misadventures and Sticky Ends.
The authors will be present at a pop-up stall in Ulverston Indoor Market Hall on November 7, 9, 14, and 30.
