A classic car show in south Cumbria is celebrating its 'best show ever' after raising a record amount.
'Classics Over Sands' took place in Grange in August with organisers now visiting Coniston Mountain Rescue after the final donations were totted up.
With £8,500 raised in total, this year has broken the record for money brought in by the event which will go towards other local causes as well as the rescue team.
Chairman Derek Seward presented Coniston Rescue with a cheque worth £3,500 with a similar amount going towards Coeliac UK.
The rest of the money has been given to the local scouts group for Grange-over-Sands and the Cumbrian Wildlife Trust.

Besides donations, this year's event was one to remember in terms of attendance too.
A spokesperson from Classics Over Sands said: "With over 300 classics, the crowds literally burst onto the show field in record numbers.
"A massive thanks to all the local people from the town and further afield who helped to put on the event.
"It takes a huge effort over many months to pull events such as this together, which also bring visitors into Grange to appreciate our beautiful town."
An after-event survey of entrants rated the show on average as 9/10, with people commenting on the quality of cars and a 'lovely, friendly and welcoming' day.
The 2024 edition also saw the fastest rate of entries ever seen by the organisers, with two thirds of spots taken up by April.
"The show is put together by a small group of volunteers - all classic vehicle fans - and this year we really needed a little more help," said the spokesperson.
"We are looking for volunteers to help on or around the show day, or even for specific parts of the day, such as helping with taking down the numerous marquees - the odd hour or two could make a big difference."
A date has already been sent for next year, with the event returning on August 11.
