A fast food restaurant in Millom is encouraging customers to 'pay it forward' to help people who are struggling to get by.
MMM Hungry, found on St George's Terrace, announced its plans to adopt the initiative this week, which will come into effect from Friday, November 1.
The scheme will allow customers to pay for a meal that can then be claimed by someone else at a later point.
Offering a seating area for 24 people, the restaurant first opened its doors in September, with the team looking to support the local community as well as serving up good food.
Gavin Padans, the owner of MMM Hungry, said: "We have decided to try a pay it forward scheme as we know some folk are struggling.
"The items paid for will be written on a blackboard so you all know what's available.
"And no-one will know if you're struggling - if you need a meal just discreetly tell us."
