A MOUNTAIN rescue team responded to a call that happened in 'almost exactly the same place' as another one a week before.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team reported that a woman walking on Holme Fell with her family slipped and hurt her ankle on October 29 at 2.33pm.
A week before, on October 22, a man slipped and injured his knee in the same area.
The rescue team dispatched three Land Rovers to Holme Fell before walking up. Once pain relief was given and the ankle splintered she was stretched down to a vehicle before being transferred to an ambulance for treatment at Furness General.
A dozen volunteer team members attended the incident which lasted for nearly three hours.
