An event celebrating Autumn with a host of fun, family activities took place in Barrow town centre this weekend.

Autumn Fest returned to the streets of Barrow on Saturday welcoming more visitors than last year's spectacle

There were free creative workshops from multiple organisations, including a clay ghost making workshop with sculptor Kathryn Stevens, leaf printing with Artworks Art4All’s and cookie decorating with Tina's Custom Cakes & Confections.

All of the pumpkins were sourced from local suppliers Pete’s Fruit and Veg and Morrisons.

Barrow BID said footfall was up 44% on last year’s event.

The town centre welcomed alpacas Autana and Xanthe and offered a photo area for families to pose and take a picture to remember the day by.

“It was amazing to see so many families attending the town centre to take part in the event and support local businesses."
