One of South Lakeland’s 'oldest hospitality venues' has announced its upcoming events for the autumn and winter months.
The Swan Hotel and Spa, in Newby Bridge, will be hosting a series of events aimed at families, couples, and individuals.
The hotel, established at the end of the 17th century, has been providing 'hospitality, comfort and inspiration' for more than 300 years.
These events will include a 'Monster Mash' fancy dress kids’ party and UV disco on October 31, with treats, games and 'ghostly goings-on'.
This will be followed by an adults-only 'Spooky Spa-ty' on November 1, featuring a DJ playing 'haunting tunes', access to the hotel’s spa facilities, and Halloween cocktails.
'Swanfire Night' will take place on November 3, which will be free to attend and include a fireworks display.
There will also be a bonfire, barbecue, bar, and pizza vendors at the event.
Marketing manager at The Swan, Becky Edmondson, said: "It’s understandable that venues concentrate events across the tourist season.
"But we felt it was time to offer locals and those visiting out of season something for them too, and dates like Halloween and Bonfire Night are the perfect opportunity to create something a little bit different, special, and memorable."
The hotel will also be hosting more events throughout the Christmas season.
This will include Christmas party nights, spa breaks, Christmas markets, wreath-making workshops, Santa’s Grotto, and Christmas lunch with The Grinch for the younger ones.
Ms Edmondson said: "It’s a fun time of year for staff and guests alike, with our Christmas party nights and spa breaks.
"But again this year we’re going one step further to offer entertainments for everyone, from Christmas markets and wreath making workshops for the whole family, to Santa’s Grotto and, another first, Christmas lunch with The Grinch for the younger ones.
"It means my team will be busy as Santa’s elves, but when we see everyone enjoying themselves, no-one’s going to be saying ‘Bah Humbug’."
The Swan's autumn, winter, and Christmas events aim to offer entertainment for locals and visitors alike during the quieter season.
