THE MP for Barrow and Furness has given a date for when her first community advice surgery will be.
Michelle Scrogham, the Labour MP who beat incumbent Conservative Simon Fell in the General Election four months ago, will begin her first series of community advice surgeries every Friday afternoon starting from Friday, November 8.
Mrs Scrogham requested constituents emailed her at michelle.scrogham.mp@parliament.uk to get details and to book an appointment.
The Barrow MP was recently announced as one of the members of the new defence select committee, and she said she would support a campaign to introduce graduated driving licences which would prevent drivers who are under 21 from carrying passengers of a similar age until six months after their test.
Mrs Scrogham has also called for action to address coastal erosion at Earnse Bay and scrutinised the council's decision to uphold the relocation of Ulverston's library service to the Coronation Hall.
