Controversial comedian Roy 'Chubby' Brown has recorded a message for Barrow ahead of an upcoming charity gig.
In August it was confirmed the comedian will be at the Cloud Nine and the Lounge nightclub on Dalkeith Street on December 5 in an event hosted by Cumbria Animal and Hen Rescue.
The event is to raise money for the rescue which takes in every kind of animal apart from dogs and offers animal owners help and advice.

Earlier this year, Westmorland and Furness Council said it had ‘no plans’ to book the performer, known for his sarcastic blue humour, again.
Speaking at the time the decision was made, a council spokesperson said: "Westmorland and Furness Council aims to create an exciting, varied and balanced programme of events at our venues which will be popular and make a significant contribution to residents' access to culture and entertainment.
"The council has no plans to book Roy Chubby Brown for The Forum at this time."

The comedian last performed in Barrow in 2022 however the shows proved a controversial topic for locals.
Brown hit out at the council's latest decision to say his act is 'simply comedy' as hundreds of fans backed his social media post.
On Monday, (October 28) the comedian recorded a message for his Barrow fans ahead of his upcoming show.
He said: "Hiya everybody, Chubbs, I'm in Barrow of all places on 5th December. I'm at Cloud 9, I think it's a Thursday and I'm only doing it for one reason, 'cause I don't usually do clubs, cause the Forum barred me out, because I'm controversial, because I say things that other people don't like.
"Well up theirs, we'll be at Cloud 9, we'll have a brilliant night because you lot are buying me a drink."
The show is part of the 'not meant to offend' tour and takes place from 6pm. Tickets are £30.
