A PHOTO has revealed 'a fraction' of the storm debris collected from a beck in Ulverston after a deluge of rain flooded the town.
The north-west division of the Environment Agency shared a photo of the detritus pulled out by their team in Ulverston during the morning of Monday, October 28.
A spokesperson said: "Our sympathies with those living and working in Ulverston whose properties were flooded overnight. Our officers were working hard through the night to mitigate the flooding."
The spokesperson added that the weather looks dry with 'no concerns about the tide.'
Town Beck discharges into Dragley Beck, which both carries water from the fells into Morecambe Bay and is tidal. The flat land and roads around the becks flooded during rainfall which was 'higher than forecast' according to the agency.
