Seven businesses from south Cumbria have been nominated as part of The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.
The winners are set to be announced on Tuesday, November 12 at Larkspur Lodge in Knutsford.
The businesses representing the south of the county will be competing in various categories to be named as the best in the north west.

One such company is Wolf and Raven Photography, based in Dalton-in-Furness, which has been named as a finalist for the region's best photographer.
Lois Fallows-Bragg, who runs the business, said: "Thank you so, so much to all of my couples for taking the time to write me some lovely reviews, and thank you for trusting me with your wedding memories in the first place.
"Just to be nominated and get through the regional finals is an absolute honour - I am up against some brilliant competition, so fingers crossed!"
HL Creations of Kendal is just one of two candidates in the seamstress or tailor category, who thanked their 'amazing' clients for making the nomination possible.
The competition will be sternest for the Cumbrian contestants in the hotel field, with five Lake District venues tussling for the crown.
These are Briery Wood Country House, Cragwood Country House, Lindeth Howe Hotel, Merewood Country House and Broadoaks Country House - all of which can be found in Windermere.
A spokesperson from Briery Wood commented that they were 'over the moon' with the news, adding: "While we won’t know if we’re taking home the award until November, just making the shortlist is already a huge win in our books.
"A huge well done to our fantastic and dedicated wedding team, along with our wonderful couples who voted."
The Cragwood team also thanked the people who trusted the site 'with their big day'.
"Thank you to all our amazing couples who voted for us - you are all so kind," the owners of Lindeth Howe said.
"We really do give 100% to all the weddings we host and treat all our couples and their family and friends as we would like to be treated."
All the companies will now be crossing their fingers until November 12 to see if they can go one step further and take home an award.
