A MOTORIST has been fined by a court after he was clocked driving at 35mph in 30mph zone.
Richard Sheppard, from Ulverston, was said to have driving over the speed limit on a road near Chester.
According to papers from Warrington Magistrates' Court, the 41-year-old was travelling in a Ford on the A41 Whitchurch Road on April 7 when he was picked up by a speed camera.
The speed limit was said to have signified by street lighting placed fewer than 200 yards apart.
Sheppard, of Neville Street, was fined £220 court by the court and handed three penalty points.
He was convicted under the single justice procedure and was not required to appear in court.
