A Cumbrian fire station welcomed a group of young farmers for a 'hands on' evening.

(Image: Bootle Fire Station) (Image: Bootle Fire Station) Following a look around the station and a discussion on being part of the fire service, they headed out into the yard.

(Image: Bootle Fire Station) (Image: Bootle Fire Station) The young farmers were treated to a full demonstration of a road traffic collision roof removal and were talked through the various pieces of kit members of the team are trained to use.

(Image: Bootle Fire Station) Bootle Fire Station said: "Everyone who attended got stuck in and involved with all and we hope use all enjoyed the evening. Could be a few up and coming fire fighters among use, who knows!
