A Cumbrian fire station welcomed a group of young farmers for a 'hands on' evening.
Around 30 members from Broughton YFC attended Bootle Fire Station for a tour last night.
Following a look around the station and a discussion on being part of the fire service, they headed out into the yard.
The young farmers were treated to a full demonstration of a road traffic collision roof removal and were talked through the various pieces of kit members of the team are trained to use.
They also took part in hose running competitions.
Bootle Fire Station said: "Everyone who attended got stuck in and involved with all and we hope use all enjoyed the evening. Could be a few up and coming fire fighters among use, who knows!
"Would also like to say a big thank you too Butty, John Morgan & Co Ltd from Ulverston and the Armistead Family from Sinkfall Recycling for donating us one of the cars for the RTC demonstration, much appreciated!"
