The Ulverston Lantern Festival has received its highest amount of donations in 'nearly a decade'.
The annual event returned in September, with organisers sharing the good news this week.
Online donations through the festival's JustGiving page doubled compared to last year, with money on the day itself bringing the total to £3,367.

A spokesperson said: "All costs covered largely thanks to lantern kit sales plus most-excellent donations, the best it's been for nearly a decade so thank you.
"It's a great relief as costs were up for everything from glue to insurance this year so we needed your support more than ever and you delivered!"
Thanks to this support, attention can now turn to next year's edition, with its return set for Saturday, September 20.
The team are now figuring out the theme of 2025's festival, with ideas from the public more than welcome.
