A BARROW sandwich shop has been permitted to change its opening hours to meet demand.
Westmorland and Furness Council has approved an application from Dodona House Ltd to change the opening hours of Dodona Sandwich Bar on Dalton Road.
The premises currently cannot be open between 6pm and 8am however the sandwich bar wants to change this condition so the shop can open from 10am to 10pm each day.
A statement submitted with the application says: “Since opening it has become apparent that morning trade has not met the anticipated levels and customer comments have indicated that evening opening could be popular.”
The sandwich shop started operating in March 2024 and, according to planning documents, its current use has not drawn ‘any complaints’ from neighbouring premises.
This application was approved by Westmorland and Furness Council on October 18.
