A bookshop in Furness enjoyed a host of magical celebrations before kicking off a monster hunt.

Dalton’s new bookshop Ever After Books celebrated Bloomsbury’s annual Harry Potter Book Day which was officially held on October 17.

The family-run business has also organised a magical monster hunt inspired by a popular creature from the world of Harry Potter.

There are ten Niffler soft toys hidden in the shops of Dalton waiting to be found.

“We decided to organise a monster hunt after receiving an invite to host an event for Bloomsbury's Harry Potter Book Day,” Lia said. “Rather than keeping it confined to our shop, we thought it would be more fun to get other shops on Market Street involved.

“Those we asked were all keen and the other businesses have been really supportive by posting wanted posters in their shops and keeping extra flyers on hand. It's been a lot of fun so far."

Everyone who finds all ten Nifflers and returns their completed flyer to the bookshop will get a reward and be entered into a raffle to win one of the ten soft toy Nifflers.

The event is running from now until the end of the October Half Term break and will end on Sunday November 3 when the raffle will be drawn live on Facebook.
