Dalton’s new bookshop Ever After Books has organised a magical monster hunt inspired by a popular creature from the world of Harry Potter.
This follows Bloomsbury’s annual Harry Potter Book Day which was officially held on Thursday October 17 this year.
The day provides a chance for fans around the globe to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s iconic series.
Ever After Books, which is owned by Edward Ford and Lia La Chapelle, and opened for the first time in July, has joined in the fun.
As this year’s theme was Magical Creatures, they have organised a community event called ‘Find the Missing Nifflers’.
They said: “Unfortunately, the creatures purchased for the event—small, thieving beings called Nifflers—escaped the premises and scattered across the other shops and businesses on Market Street.”

They are now asking the public to help locate all ten missing Nifflers.
A number of businesses on Market Street are taking part in a Niffler hunt which will take place from now until the end of the October Half Term break.
To join in the fun, pick up a flyer from various shops and businesses across Dalton, and begin your monster hunt.
Mark down where you spot the creatures and return your completed flyers to Ever After Books for a reward and the chance to win a Niffler of your own.
The Niffler Hunt will end on Sunday November 3.
