Cumbria police has released dramatic footage of a drugs raid at a home in Barrow this morning (October 18).

The bodycam footage shows a 6:19am timestamp as officers in Barrow Neighbourhood Police Team carry out a warrant on Longway in which they searched the property and seized a number of drugs.

An officer is seen using a battering ram to enter the address at a block of flats with officers then arresting a 24-year-old man in his bedroom.

Images released by police show the bags of Class A and Class B drugs seized before the man is taken into the back of a police van.

Speaking on its Facebook page this afternoon, a spokesperson for Barrow police said: "A 24-year-old man has been arrested for possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

"An investigation is ongoing.
