A business owner in Millom said picking up an award 'means the absolute world'.
The Beauty Hub, found on Wellington Street, has been crowned The Mail's 'Best Beauty Salon' of 2024.
This came after readers of The Mail voted across two weeks from a pick of 10 finalists, all of whom represented the most glamorous spots in the region.
Tia Mawson opened the doors to The Beauty Hub five years ago thanks to a love of the craft that stems from her childhood.

And now that love affair has led her to this latest taste of success, fending off stiff competition from the other nine businesses to claim the title.
Tia said: "I can’t believe it - I’m absolutely lost for words.
"I’m so grateful for the lovely support for everyone who voted for me - this means the absolute world.
"Here’s to another year giving out luxury services to all the lovely people in the area - thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Tia's career has seen her train all around the UK in areas such as London, Shrewsbury, Liverpool and Scotland - though her home of Cumbria is where she has established herself as major player in the local beauty scene.
She added: "My business has grown so much over the five years, from working two days a week when I started to being full six days a week.
"I am that therapist that is always looking for the next best thing to train in, not just sticking to the basics, which my clients love about me."
Tia will now be able to proudly present the winner's poster in her salon's window, telling everyone in town that she is officially the public's favourite beautician.
