A Walney group's production of one the most well loved musicals has been given a second life after being relocated.
The Walney Musical Theatre Company's (WMTC) version of 'The Sound of Music' was originally scheduled to take place at The Forum in Barrow.
However, following the theatre's partial closure in August due to the presence of asbestos, the performance will now take to the stage at The Coro in Ulverston between January 16 and 18 next year.
A spokesperson from The Forum said: "We are pleased to have been able to reschedule the production.
"WMTC productions are always amazing and we can't wait to see what they do with one of the best loved scores in film and theatre history, with songs such as 'Do-Re-Mi', 'My Favourite Things', 'So Long, Farewell' and the timeless 'Edelweiss'."
WMTC were the first group to be affected by the closure earlier this year when their production of Legally Blonde The Musical was cancelled.
