A WOMAN who assaulted a paramedic and police officer in Barrow has been sentenced.
Rachel Jones, of Gloucester Street, Barrow, admitted two charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker at a plea hearing at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
The 48-year-old committed the offences against the two male emergency workers acting in the exercise of their functions as such a worker on June 13 this year in Barrow, court records confirmed.
On October 10, after probation had conducted an all-options pre-sentence report, she was handed a 12-month community order with one requirement of completing an eight-week curfew between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
Magistrates also ordered Jomes to pay £85 in court costs.
No order for compensation was made.
