A SECTION of a rural Furness road off the A590 will close for up to two days while works are carried out.
Alpine Road at Newland will close from its junction with the U5119, extending in a south easterly direction to its junction with the A590. The closure will take place over the weekend (October 19 and 20).
An alternative route would be via the A590, C5022, U5105 and the unrestricted section of the U5106.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, and access for emergency vehicles.
