As Halloween fast approaches so does the October Half Term break so to keep your family entertained this autumn we've put together everything you need to know about visiting one of the local pumpkin patches.

Lakeland Maze Farm Park near Kendal

As well as farm animals, trampolines, karting, tractor rides and much more, they have decided to open their seasonal pumpkin patch a week earlier.

Their pumpkin patch is now open, and from Saturday October 12, each paying child can choose and take home a free pumpkin.

From September, the farm is only open at weekends but will open every day throughout October Half Term.

Tickets to the patch cost £3.50 and include access to the carving station, where staff are on hand to help bring your pumpkin to life.

Additional pumpkins, which are individually priced on size and variety, are available to buy.
