A man died after suffering chest pains while walking in the Lake District.
Cumbria police received a report during the morning of October 12 of a man in a walking group with chest pains near the summit of Ullock Pike on Skiddaw, a spokesperson from Keswick Mountain Team.
Members of the mountain rescue team were deployed at 11.47am, along with a rescue helicopter, but it eventually had to stand down due to bad weather.
As the Keswick team arrived, the man was found to be unresponsive.

They immediately started CPR but, despite best efforts, the man could not be saved.
A team spokesperson said: “Our thoughts and condolences go to the man’s family and friends.”
