A music centre is offering 'affordable' music lessons to young people in Barrow.

The sessions take place each Monday at The Forum Studio, providing lessons to those aged between four and 16.

The centre has three groups, with 'Music Minis' geared towards children aged between four and seven years old.

'Music Makers' is for Key Stage 2 children, and is all about creating music.

The third session is a drumming group inspired by the traditions of carnival bands and samba music.

The centre is run by music teachers Patsy Gillam and Rob Duesbery.

Ms Gillam said: "Music is so important for young people's well-being and development.

"Barrow Music Centre provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere to learn new skills and create music at a very affordable price."

The centre also offers direct tuition music lessons.

Children can enjoy 'playing and writing music, making new friends, and developing new skills'.
