Three men have been arrested following a boat theft in Windermere last week.
The 'suspicious' incident was reported to have happened in the evening of Friday, October 11.
Following this, officers from the South Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) conducted a stop check of a vehicle on the A590 as part of Operation Headway.
As a result of this, one male was arrested on suspicion of theft, another was arrested on suspicion of theft and drug driving, and a third was arrested on suspicion of theft and drug possession.
Stolen outboard engines and other property were recovered in the process, and the vehicle was later seized, said police.
A spokesperson from the South Lakes NPT said: "All three men have been interviewed and released on police bail.
"Whilst we have identified where most of the stolen property has come from, we are asking boat owners who have moorings on Windermere or keep boats or equipment in the area to check and inform us of any theft that has taken place."
