A iconic monument in the South Lakes will shine a light over the surrounding town for World Mental Health Day.
Ulverston Town Council has announced that the Sir John Barrow Monument will be lit Yellow this evening.
The Hoad will show support for the international day, which champions global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.
The event, which began in 1992, is celebrated every year on October 10. This year’s theme, set by the World Federation of Mental Health, is workplace mental health.
