A BARN overlooking Grange could become two homes under new plans.
'Disused barn storage' could become two self build dwellinghouses on High Spring Bank Farm on Hampsfell Road. According to planning documents, this would come with associated works including the installation of a package waste water treatment system.
The site is described as an 'essentially vacant building.' The planning statement claims that the building dates back to around a century ago, with a 1933 OS map showing the building.
According to the plans, the homes would be around 1km away from food and other shops in central Grange, and the area is used as a walking trail.
The floor plans for the two storey dwellings are about 150 metres squared.
"As part of the farmstead described as 'The High' then 'High Farm' it has been part of the local landscape for well over most people's lifetime," the plans state.
The application is with Westmorland and Furness Council.
